The building reflects the composition of functional and rationalist architecture proposed by the avant-garde movement GATEPAC (Group of Spanish Artists and Technicians for Contemporary Architecture), led by figures such as José Luis Sert and José Torres Clavé, among others, who participated in the 4th Congress held in Barcelona, where Gropius, Le Corbusier, Giedion, Breuer, Sert, and others were also present. The design, the space, the lighting, and the volumes without ornamentation express minimalist architecture defined by the beauty of its proportions, order, and balance. The original design included walls painted with primary colors, inspired by painter Piet Mondrian (neoplasticism), and later taken up by Mies Van der Rohe and Charles & Ray Eames in Case Study House 8 of 1949. Today, the walls are smooth, rendered, and painted white. The ground floor is divided into two distinct zones: a day area with an entrance hall, a spacious and bright living-dining room, and an independent kitchen, and a night area that includes a single bedroom, a guest bathroom, and a large suite with its own bathroom and access to the garden.
